MEET THE TEAM

OUR HISTORY

1995

Founding of S R Industries

Stone Galleria LLP traces its roots back to the early 1990s, when Suresh Poddar and Rajesh Saraf decided to join forces. Prior to this, both had been active in the natural stone industry, operating granite processing units independently with other partners. Their shared expertise and business values—along with their family connection as brothers-in-law—laid a strong foundation for collaboration.

At the time, India’s stone industry was undergoing major shifts—rising global demand, policy reforms, and growing export potential. Seeing an opportunity amid this changing environment, the two entrepreneurs launched a modest trading firm under the name S R Industries. This venture would mark the beginning of what would eventually become one of Rajasthan’s most respected granite processing companies.

1997

First Granite Slab Unit – Jalore

Until 1997, the business primarily focused on trading granite tiles, as slab availability was limited and infrastructure was still developing. However, observing growing demand for granite slabs in both residential and commercial markets, Suresh Poddar and Rajesh Saraf recognized a clear shift in customer preference.

Responding to this opportunity, they took a decisive step and established their first granite slab processing unit in Jalore—a region fast emerging as a hub for granite manufacturing. This move not only expanded their capabilities but also positioned them at the forefront of India’s evolving stone industry.

2011

Expansion and Second Unit in Pali

From 1997 to 2011, the company steadily built its presence in the Indian stone industry—especially across the southern and western regions. During this period, they became a trusted name for domestic projects while also catering to third-party export requirements.

With the first unit based in Jalore, daily commutes from their hometown of Pali—nearly three hours each way—became routine. Recognizing the need to maximize productivity on non-travel days, they made a strategic decision to set up a second processing unit in Pali. This not only improved operational efficiency but also helped scale their output to meet growing demand.

2021

Expansion to Kishangarh: Embracing Industry Shifts

Between 2011 and 2018, the Indian natural stone industry witnessed exponential growth, driven by a surge in global demand for Indian granite and other stones. During this time, Kishangarh—once known primarily for marble—emerged as a major hub for granite processing, surpassing traditional centers like Jalore and Pali in terms of infrastructure, logistics, and market accessibility.

Recognizing this shift, the founders made the strategic decision to expand operations to Kishangarh. Although the COVID-19 pandemic caused delays in execution, the third manufacturing plant was successfully commissioned and began production in April 2021. This move marked a new chapter, positioning Stone Galleria LLP closer to India's evolving stone trade epicenter.

2022

Opening of First Retail Outlet in Main Kishangarh

In 2022, operating under the refreshed identity of Stone Galleria, the company opened its first dedicated retail outlet in the heart of Kishangarh. While the newly set-up unit was situated on the outskirts, this market-facing showroom enabled easier customer access, stronger local visibility, and quicker turnaround for project discussions and selections.

The move aligned with the company’s growing focus on customer-centric service and direct engagement with architects, builders, and retailers in India’s biggest natural stone trading hub.

2024

Expansion with New Granite & Sandstone Processing Unit

Building on the positive momentum and strong market response from 2021 and 2022, it became evident by 2023 that a new processing unit was essential to meet the growing demand for Rajasthan-based granite and sandstone. Strategic discussions quickly turned into action, and by January 2024, Stone Galleria commenced operations at its latest manufacturing facility.

This expansion strengthened our production capacity, enabled faster fulfillment, and reaffirmed our commitment to serving both domestic and global markets with greater efficiency and scale.

How We Process Stone – What Sets Us Apart

At Stone Galleria, granite processing is more than just a production task—it's a commitment to precision, quality, and consistency. From the moment we receive the raw block to the final polish, every stage is carefully monitored and executed using a mix of modern machinery and experienced hands.

Our process includes block dressing, cutting, slab calibration, resin application, polishing, edge cutting (if required), and thorough quality checks. Each of these stages follows a strict workflow to ensure a uniform finish and accurate thickness—key requirements for both domestic and export markets.

What truly sets us apart is our ability to customize finishes, sizes, and edge details based on project needs. Whether it's mirror-polish granite for luxury interiors or flamed surfaces for outdoor applications, we tailor the process to match expectations without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
